What we do
The Adaptations Service is part of the Community Equipment Patnership; the team is staffed by qualified trades people and support staff. They carry out minor adaptations which have been recommended by Community/Hospital Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Social Workers. These include bannister rails, all types of grab rails, electrical repairs and installation of intercom systems, silent alerts for deaf and hard of hearing people as well as installation of showers over the bath and level access showers, also specialist toilet equipment and the setting up of environmental control units.
The work the team carry out helps to effectively and safely assist people in managing in their own home.
How to get our help
All our equipment has to be requested by one of the above. Service users cannot request direct from us.
